Droitwich Camera Club is thrilled to host Bill Ward, a multi award-winning British actor and photographer, for the second time on Monday, 7th October at the Methodist Church for a special live speaker session titled “Shooting Water Creatively.”
While Bill’s primary focus is landscapes—whether they’re natural, urban, or industrial—he has a special affinity for water. He also harbors a keen interest in history, often seeking out remnants of faded glory and reflecting on times gone by.
Photo-Walk around Droitwich Spa
Last Monday, on the 30th of September, a group of our members participated on a “Photo-Walk” around Droitwich Spa. We gathered at 6:00 pm in the heart of the town, ready to discover hidden gems through our camera lenses.
The walk provided a unique opportunity to hone our low-light photography skills, capturing the essence of old buildings and the people on the streets. Experimenting with camera settings we don’t typically use, and using our phone cameras.
As the night unfolded, we reconvened in a cosy gathering—a chance to share our ongoing photography projects and discuss the upcoming Club competition.
Here are some images featuring our members: Nigel Reader, Julian Rouse, and Martin Griffiths.
