Johnnie is a retired teacher of photography and has been taking photographs for the last 45 years. His love of nature began in Norfolk as a boy and developed after he moved to Bristol and then on to South Wales where he now judges and gives presentations for the Welsh Photographic Federation.
Bug photography is something he does as he takes his dog for a walk along the Newport Levels. He is a great believer in getting to know a local patch well getting the best from whatever equipment he happens to have. 'A Bugs Life' is a presentation of what can be found if you look carefully, even in a garden, using simple equipment. From butterflies to beetles, dragonflies to spiders, he will show a pot-pourri of life on the Levels with hints and tips at the getting the best from your equipment.
