Peter J. Siviter EFIAP, DPAGB: ‘Tales of the Unexpected’
Peter joined Hagley Camera Club in 1978. He started entering FIAP and PSA exhibitions in 1981 and won his first medal in a Smethwick International, a Judge’s Medal with an image called ‘Fade to Grey’ which went on to win FIAP and PSA gold medals. He joined Smethwick PS in 1983. He has won 6 PSA gold medals with 5 different images and also has two sets of FIAP medals Gold, Silver, Bronze and FIAP ribbons. He has won the best slide at the PAGB club championships, being the first person to do this twice.
He has been a judge and lecturer for over 30 years in prints, slides, DPI and AVs. He has now converted to digital for prints and DPIs. Last year he won the best social document DPI and the best portrait medals at FIAP exhibitions along with another medal and several HMs.
His love is street photography and he travels all over the UK for street scenes. He then uses Photoshop to change the backgrounds and other items. He also travels widely with several trips abroad each year and most of the images are used in AVs and also backgrounds for his street photography. He enjoys creating AVs and DPIs which are a little different from the normal and he believes that he has a very creative mind and produces images which have a style of his own.
