Alan Bennett: 'Costa Rica - a Special Relationship'
Alan is an experienced wildlife and travel photographer based near Blackpool. With a degree in ecology and armed with an Olympus OM1, he started photographing animals seriously whilst living in Spain in 1979. Thirty five years and several camera bodies later, he’s still taking animal photographs ...with the same enthusiasm, a little more technical ability and a realisation that he’s still got a huge amount to learn!!!
His presentation takes us into the world of interactions between and amongst species. Based on his investigations of interactions in the rainforests of Costa Rica, where he spent a year from 2006 -2007, it looks at a whole range of associations including predator-prey relationships, parasitism, mutualism and many others which aren't too easy to define.
