Here at DCC, we are fortunate to have many experienced photographers, who are more than willing to share their knowledge and expertise with members who are either starting out upon, or furthering their own photographic journey.
This can be on a one-to-one basis with help either sat at a computer to look at editing skills, or out in the field where practical experience will be shared in any area that assistance may be sought.
We also have a monthly day-out event where, again, a Mentor can be on hand to assist with any issues or difficulties you may be experiencing.
This service is offered by a range of Mentors at a time mutually agreeable. As a Club we are keen to share knowledge and assist other members to gain experience and confidence. After all, we have all started at the beginning but can greatly reduce the learning curve by shared knowledge. There is no additional charge for this but we would ask that no Mentor is put in a position where they have any expense involved in providing this assistance (e.g. entry fees, car parking etc.).
If you wish to avail yourself of the services of a Mentor, please let me know in the first instance either face to face at the next meeting or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can recognise a Mentor by the yellow flag on their name badge
