Season 2010 / 2011

In Memory of Graham Trevor

Droitwich Spa Photographic Society are very sad to announce that Graham Trevor, their Chairman for 2009-10, has lost a long and brave battle against an illness which developed at the beginning of this year.

Graham had been an enthusiastic and faithful Member of DSPS for many years and had held various positions on the Committee for most of that time.  He made a major contribution to DSPS, helping it to become one of the most successful small clubs in the Midlands.  Amongst his many contributions, he had organised the Club’s annual exhibition in Droitwich Library and had been responsible for selling many of the tickets for the annual ‘Celebrity Lecturer’ evenings.

Graham was a top rate photographer who was always happy to share his experience and expertise and we all learnt a lot from him.  He had a particular interest in landscape and steam railway photography, and was developing an interest in natural history photography as he moved towards retirement.

As well as being one of the leading photographers in DSPS, Graham was a frequent and well-known visitor to other clubs in the Midlands where his knowledgeable and entertaining talks and judging were much appreciated.

All those who knew Graham will have very fond memories of him and will miss his sense of humour and his energetic and enthusiastic approach to everything that he did.
