Photo Walks with Droitwich Camera
On Saturday 29th July three members of Droitwich Camera were involved in organising free photo walks around Droitwich together with a display of club member images in the library, as our contribution to ArtsFest 2017. Nigel Reader and Dave Hull undertook the walks with a small group of interested members of the public while Al Haden took charge of the display.
Following the walks those who took part shared their images with us and these showed what a great range of work they were able to produce in a short space of time. We were very impressed by the quality and variety of the work, especially the different styles that were evident. As part of the day we had a competition for the best image and judging was very difficult but we did select a worthy winner taken by Justine Humphries showing moss and lichen on a building and this is shown below. We liked the clarity and richness of this image as well as the composition. Well done to Justine, who will receive a framed print of her winning image. A selection of other images taken by the groups together with some of them in action, is also shown below (click on the third image).
Thank you to everyone who took part, we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did and maybe we will see you at our Club in September.
