Welcome to Droitwich Camera Club's website. We are a small and friendly society and we welcome new members of all ages and abilities.  If you are interested in developing your photography further why not come along to one of our regular Monday evening meetings

Change to Club Programme

On Monday 23rd October there is a change to the advertised programme and the evening will now consist of the following presentations:

1) Travels around Spitzbergen - Robin & Audrey Couchman
Robin & Audrey will give a presentation of photographs taken in 2014 on a two week trip circumnavigating the island of Spitsbergen on an icebreaker. Spitsbergen is the largest of a group of islands that make up the archipelago of Svalbard high up in the Arctic and their photographs will include the dramatic landscape of mountains and glaciers together with the animals and flowers of this inhospitable region. The image below of a Polar Bear is shown with the kind permission of Robin.

2) Making a Splash - Clive Turner

The inspiration for this talk came about when Clive was looking for something different for a Club competition on the subject of 'Still Life' so he experimented with a 'splash' shot. After two attempts, lots of very tasty cherries and plenty of fun splashing about he was told that the shot was not eligible for inclusion in the competition as it wasn’t ‘still’. However we will get the benefit of Clive's experimentation as he will be giving us a live demonstration of how he took the image, which is shown below with his kind permission, so he is hoping it works on the night. Oh and by the way, he subsequently entered the image into another competition and the judge really loved it and although he did not give it any marks, Clive enjoyed taking it.

This should be a great night with some interesting stories as well as some great images.

Visitors are very welcome, see the Information page for details of how to find us.
