Slimbridge: A personal view

I first visited Slimbridge in Gloucestershire some thirty years ago and instantly fell in love with the place. It is a magical spot with thousands of different birds and other wildlife that changes throughout the year. You have a range of locations on offer too from hides right next to birds feeding and nesting to open ponds covered in wildfowl and usually smelling of them too. These days I have to go round on a mobility scooter but it is still a place that draws me. Of course the excellent refreshments add a little bonus. If you have a spare hour, day, week or year you would well be advised to visit. Give it a go http://www.wwt.org.uk/
