The first part of our autumn and winter season 2016 came to an end last Monday with a most enjoyable ‘Match That!’ competition. So far our season has been peppered with club competitions, interesting speakers who have been informative and entertaining and club evenings when we have used the knowledge and expertise of our own members. After Christmas we have so much more to look forward to starting with Glyn Dewis on 9th January and his talk entitled ‘Photograph like a Thief’, plus exciting new speakers such as Valentina Kulagina at the end of January with lots more to follow.
Attendances and membership numbers for our small club have been good, which is a reflection of our interesting and varied programme. We always welcome feedback on what we have to offer and are open to suggestions for future events.
Don't forget our 2017 ‘special event’ on Saturday 25th March entitled ‘Wild Scotland: A Photographic Odyssey’, to be given by Mark Hamblin, wildlife and landscape photographer.
Finally, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I look forward to seeing you all in 2017.
Barbara Turner, Chairman DCC.
