As I mentioned last week at the Club Meeting there is a wonderful display of Christmas trees in the cloisters at Worcester Cathedral. I have spoken to the manager of the cathedral who has advised that Saturday 17th December would be an ideal time for Droitwich Camera Club members to visit and take photographs.
For those of you that haven't been but would like to go I am proposing that we meet up at the main entrance to the cathedral for 10.30am. The cost is £3.00 for hand held cameras and £5.00 if using a tripod. A day ticket must be purchased at the gift shop which entitles you to take photographs anywhere in the cathedral.
In addition to the spectacle of the Christmas trees a choir will be singing Carols from 1.00pm which we can view and listen to, but we are not allowed to take photographs of the children.
Just an added thought, next July 2017, there is a photographic competition for any aspect of the cathedral. 1st prize is £70.00 and 2nd prize £35.00. Entry forms will be available next year.
If you would like to go on Saturday please let me know as soon as possible as I will need to let the manager know about the number of people attending.
I look forward to seeing you there.
