Our next competition of the season is coming up on the 10th November and entries need to be in by midnight on Sunday 2nd November, ie a week from today.
The subjects this time are Mono (Black and White) Prints and Open DPIs. The judge is David Eaves.
You may submit up to 2 images in each category. ie a max of 2 prints and 2 DPIs (digitally projected Images)
Entries must be in the standard format as detailed below and which is stated on the DSPS website.
To remind you.
DPI Entries must be titled as follows: number_title_name. (number being your order of preference in case we have to reduce the number of entries) Please also use the format 1 or 2, not 01 etc. Do not use any other form of punctuation. Nothing else is acceptable.
The competition software will reject any titles that do not conform to this format and I then have to correct them. . Please do not put anything like ‘Print 1 _ or DPI 1_.to distinguish between your print and DPI entries. These titles should be printed in the accompanying email anyway for clarification (particularly for MAC users) so that we know whether they are for the print or DPI competition.
Your images should be in .jpg format and resized to 1400 x 1050 pixels. The first figure refers to the width and the second to the height. Note that if you are submitting a ‘portrait’ format image then please remember that the height should be set for 1050 pixels max. not 1400.
Prints should have a maximum mount size of 20” x 16” and should have your name and print title written clearly on the back and if there is any doubt about which is the top then please add an arrow pointing to the top.
Please also remember that we need the .jpg files for print entries so that they can be projected for the benefit of members at the back of the room and these must be submitted in the same format.
To enter our competitions you will need to become a member of our club, for more information please contact us.
Thank you for your help.
